"I'm lookin' at the man in the mirror. MJ taught me that"

Sorry about my blogging hiatus. I didn't feel inspired for a really long time, but that's over now thank God! It was the worst writers block, well it was bloggers block actually. That's not the point though!

Back to my original point however, I stumbled upon this Lil Wayne video for his song Mirror, featuring Bruno Mars.. I LOVED it!!! It's such a beautiful song and I love the paint it's association with pain/blood. I thought it was very telling of the hard life Lil Wayne has led. PLEASE watch it, I love it and if you like good music you'll like it too:) Also, Lil Wayne haters- do not post mean comments about him because they will only piss me off and I'll remove them haha

VALENTINES DAY!!!- woo. freaking. hoo.

Ok for those of you who are only slightly bitter (and by slightly I mean monstrously and enormously so!!) about Valentines Day, you will understand my pain. Stop talking about it to people who don't respect the stupidity of such a 'holiday'. Are you aware of what holiday means? It means holy day, and Valentines Day is not holy in any way. I realize I sound like an old lady who has more cats than she has men in her life.. but really I am not fucking kidding here, I am so annoyed with Valentines Day. I spent today being sick and not only that but I got a bunch of texts (some from people I don't even talk to!!) saying Happy Valentines Day. This dumbass day doesn't even mean anything!!! It's such a waste of time, money, and effort. I am in such a bad mood, can you tell? And I just logged into my blogger account to find nothing but Valentines posts. So, stop, ok? Just stop it! No one cares.... I am seriously debating whether or not I should erase this whole thing or post it..... I think I'm gonna post it. Don't judge me. I'm sick and in a very bad mood...

"Cause baby we'll be at the drive in the old man's ford behind the bushes till I'm screaming for more down the basement lock the cellar door and baby.. TALK DIRTY TO ME!!"

For some reason I am really liking the Poison song Talk Dirty to Me.. why I don't know. Because I personally always thought that Poison was just a Guns N Roses ripoff wanna be band. But however true this may be... they have some really great and catchy hits... geez, I just reread what I wrote... what is wrong with me?? But they are good songs. I feel guilty for liking Poison. Kind of the way I feel bad when I hear a Kesha song and love it. Something is wrong with me. Haha but atleast I know something is wrong with me! I guess that's a good thing, right? So, here is to you Poison, and all those who for some reason like you, I am one of those people strangely enough...

"She's been a crazy dita, disco diva and you wonder who's that chick? Too cold for you to keep her too hot for you to leave her. Who's that chick? Who's that chick?"

I have yet another outfit post to do, this is from a week or two ago and I am behind in that I haven't put it up yet, but oh well! This outfit was very much inspired by the Betsey Johnson spring/summer 2012 line, which I absolutely love!!! The cream colored sweater, the pink tank underneath, the green skirt, bow topped cream flats, black tights, and even my hair and makeup is all very Betsey. The pink, green, cream, and black color palette was the one used in Betsey's fashion show for spring, and in the show, part of the look was to be able to see the brightly colored bra (so I made mine peek out at the top of course! I have to think "what would Betsey do?"). In addition to this, the whole line had a very rocker-girly feel combined with a forties inspired look. The hair from the show was like my hair in these pictures, all pinned to one side and curled (which I LOVE, and is so forties). The tights from the show had the true retro feel because they had the lines up the back of the leg and everything! Wouldn't expect Betsey to be anything less than authentic of course! And true to Betsey's look for this spring I had a bright shock of lipstick on, unfortunately these pictures were taken later in the night so the lipstick had faded by then! The earrings I wore are a pair I really love and hardly ever get to wear due to their unusual color. I think they kind of pulled the whole outfit together! Anywayys, I love this look, I LOVE the line it was inspired by, and I am very proud of this outfit if I do say so myself! Hope everyone has a good upcoming week, and remember, leave comments:)

"All you need is love."

The Beatles truly were right when they sang this. Emotionally, all you need is love. But however right they were, and however powerful and wonderful love is, it is not the topic of this post. The topic for this post is quite the opposite of love, and yes you guessed correctly, it is hate. Hate. Also a very powerful thing, and when used by people it is sometimes considered a wonderful thing. But it is most certainly anything but wonderful. Have you ever stopped to think what hate means? Well, I took the liberty of looking up the exact definition on Dictionary.com and this is what I found:

to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest: to hate the enemy; to hate bigotry.

Hate is such an intense emotion, yet it is one so very accepted. It is accepted that everyone has enemies whom they hate. And enemies are one thing I suppose. But have you ever stopped to think how much you use hate? When you are walking down the halls at your school or work place, and you see people you know or know of. They might get blasted with a hateful look, but was it you who gave it to them? And you may or may not think a look can say everything but it can, believe me. Other times, it is just the sense one gets that they are hated by the masses, or even just a few people, hated because of jealousy or rivalry or a million different stupid things. Those of you who have been on the receiving end of this know eactly what I'm talking about. We say we hate people all the time, I know I do. But have you ever stopped to hear the words coming out of your mouth? People say things like, "I hate that girl, she's such a slut." or "I hate him, he thinks he is the best thing to happen to the Earth." or "Have you seen that kid I babysit for? I hate him, he's so annoying and dumb." Generic as they may seem, these are comments that everyone has heard before. But do you even know who you're hating? Hate is just a tool, a tool that you use, and sometimes you use it without knowing. But you use it none the less. You have no way of knowing how your hate is affecting that person. You have no way of knowing what is going on in that person's life. Do you like it when people hate you? Because I know it does not feel good at all, it feels terrible. And when someone is hated enough it starts to wear on them. And they start to feel about themselves the way you feel about them. Would you want to make someone hate themselves? Hate is such a nasty thing, and we use it all the time. And in our soceity, in which insults have a much lesser meaning than they have in the past (Example: friends will call each other whore or bitch and it is not intended or taken in an offensive manner) hate gets thrown around a lot more. But next time you hear the words "I hate" starting to come out of your mouth, think about who you are hating before you voice this opinion. Think about what you are saying and how hurtful words really can be. And words can be so hurtful, but hate is one of the worst of them all and we use it ALL THE TIME. How is that right? I know we all like to think of ourselves as good people, but how can you honestly think you are a good person if you use hate to hurt people or control them or manipulate them, even if that wasn't your intension. Think before you speak. And we could all use a little more love, so tomorrow I want you to make an effort to speak to people and tell them they look good, or that you liked something they did, etc. Be genuine. You get my point, because as bad as hate is and as horrible as it can make you feel, think how wonderful love can make you and everyone else feel. It can make you feel so much better. So brighten someone's day tomorrow and smile instead of making their day worse by giving them a nasty look that says what words cannot. The Beatles, yet another nugget of wisdom they have left us: "All you need is love"

I must go to Tomorrowland! It is imperative!!

Soooooo.. Tomorrowland is this AWESOME three day festival in Belgium, it is a music festival and it looks so freaking fun. I WILL go one day, I already have two friends on board to go, I just need to get one of my friends to be cool with it and then I'll be set. I will be going one day! Here is the official after movie from last years festival. Makes me want to go so very badly. So in a year or two or three... I will be posting about how I went to Tomorrowland!

Crush of the Week!!!!

Oh so much to blog about, so little time! My crush of the week for this week is very cute, with an irrestible charm to him. I will admit that I really suck- I have only seen part of one of his movies. But whatever! This week's crush of the week is none other than....
Clint Eastwood!!
Yay for him, he is awesome and very ruggedly handsome might I add. He is such a badass- the kind of man I am atraacted too. Plus, in his prime he looked like a freakin male model!! How can anyone beat that?? I won't drone on about him, I just think he is very hot in a way that truly only Clint Eastwood could be! \
